Unnecessary Lines

I think we should remove the part that says, "To use the site, you can browse by projects, by contacts, by funding agencies, by tribes, and more. Or you can search by keyword." It just seems like extraneous information, for the Main Page. After all, this is supposed to be obvious by the links presented in the Navigation Menu. And if it isn't, the Help section exists to explain things like this. If there are no objections soon, I'll go ahead and delete that part. -Shorlbeck 17:06, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Response to Scott's idea

I think it would be OK to remove that text. It's pretty evident that there are links that allow browsing, and there's a search box for searching the site.

I think we should add something about the creation of the site and the role of the steering committee. Janis
