This is North America's biggest Pow-Wow. There is a phone number to call to ask about advertising, exhibiting, etc. The office is closed periodically from July-September. So, it appears that toward the end of September or early October might be the best time to talk with someone and get some prices. Barbara will continue to check back to reach Dr. Lita Mathews to get more information about the Program Book and see if I can get more information about the exhibit cost. Do any of the other options interest anyone? Barbara will look for information about the Gathering of Nations to see whether that might be a good publicity target for us.There are a number of potential opportunities for advertising:
- Gathering of Nations Program Book (need to call Dr. Lita Mathews at 505-836-2810)
- Reserve a booth as a "merchant" at the Indian Traders Market (need to check back at the Website "at a later time" to get details). This space is shared by over 800 booths. The phone message says that exhibit applications will be mailed out in January 2009.
- Advertise on their high traffic Web site (see http://www.gatheringofnations.com/misc/advertise.htm) by: Banner ad at $150/month; Button ad at $250/month; Platinum Package at $500/month which includes banner on home page and Internet radio page, all ad features, and 3 mentions in their monthly online newsletter reaching over 27,000 subscribers; Sponsor the Gathering of Nations and receive exposure at the annual event.
